I loooove jasmine rice
Hi Dewi Sri(?)
Um.. I hope this voicemail works (clearing throat) I got your phone number from a classified ad in New York Times. I thought it was a big joke. But the number works. So… Do you have any favorite rice?

Hi Jack,
Let me tell you a story about what happened in my hometown 60 human years ago . I enjoyed a special place in people’s consciousness all across Indonesia’s archipelago. They remember me fondly. What is a god without its worshippers? I was popular among places who had never been visited by my loveliest grain, rice. But I had not mind about people not using rice as their nourishment. I bless their corn field, cassava, and other form of starch all across the country.
Then I went for a field trip in Italy to learn about Arborio rice. It was a great trip by the way. But when I came back.. When I came back I sensed bitterness in my senses. I mean, what could’ve gone wrong after 5 years of field trip? I found rice everywhere! It had replaced the variety of grains that people eat. I went to the godly library and learned the government had made a policy to make rice the starch of the country. I knew it would go downhill from there.
